Multiverse Computing announced a $570 million Series C funding round at a $1.7 billion pre-money valuation, a five-fold increase from its Series B. The round is co-led by Forgepoint Capital International, BNPP SIVF, and Bullhound Capital, with additional commitments from investors including Santander Alternative Investments, Tikehau Capital, HP Inc., Orange Ventures, Scania Invest, NAventures, Qatar Development Bank, Zouk Capital, SETT, EIC Fund, the Basque Government's Hazten Scale-Up Fund, and Kutxa Fundazioa. Advised by JP Morgan and Santander CIB, the round is expected to bring total funding to $800 million and may remain open to additional strategic investors.

Based in Donostia, Spain, Multiverse developed CompactifAI, a compression technology that applies tensor networks, a mathematical framework from quantum physics, to reduce the size of large language models by up to 80 to 95 percent with minimal accuracy loss. The compressed models require fewer compute resources and can run on devices including drones, cameras, satellites, vehicles, and telecom infrastructure. Since closing its Series B in June 2025, the company has grown annualized revenue more than tenfold, with 96 times year-over-year sales growth in the first quarter of 2026.

Customers and partners span manufacturing, finance, energy, aerospace, cybersecurity, defense, and health and life sciences, including Allianz, Bank of Canada, Bosch, Iberdrola, Indra, PwC, and Telefónica. CEO Enrique Lizaso said the company has proven that AI can run at full performance on a smartphone, inside a sovereign data center, or on a factory floor with no cloud connection. The funding will be used to expand the company's library of efficient models, continue research and development, support strategic investments in sovereign AI infrastructure, and establish a stronger presence in key markets.
