The story

President Trump met separately with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Tuesday. Both leaders are attending the funeral of Sen. Lindsey Graham, who died at 71 after returning from a trip to Ukraine. Graham's last public words were in Kyiv, where he secured an agreement on sanctions targeting countries that purchase Russian oil, gas and other exports.

Zelenskyy said the meeting with Trump was good and that they discussed licenses for the production of Patriot missile interceptors. Trump and Zelenskyy previously met earlier this month at a NATO meeting in Turkey, where Trump announced the U.S. would allow Ukraine to build its own Patriot missiles. Zelenskyy posted that anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America are his number one priority.

Neither meeting was open to reporters. The White House press secretary said both meetings were positive and productive. Trump met with Netanyahu immediately after the Zelenskyy meeting, their first known face-to-face meeting since the U.S. and Israel launched the war with Iran. Zelenskyy has warned that Russia has been aiding Iran by capturing satellite imagery of U.S. bases in the Gulf region that later appear in Iran, asserting a clear correlation between Russian images and subsequent Iranian strikes.
