The Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays clinched postseason spots on Friday within minutes of each other. Milwaukee won 20-0 against the Cincinnati Reds while Tampa Bay advanced on a walk-off home run from Junior Caminero, his AL-leading 40th of the season. The Brewers lead the Dodgers by 2 1/2 games for the best record in baseball and will clinch the NL Central this week.

In the AL Central, the Chicago White Sox lead the Cleveland Guardians by just a half-game after holding a three-game lead last Monday. The two teams meet at Progressive Field beginning Monday, with Chicago holding a 6-4 edge in the season series. In the AL West, the Houston Astros lead the Texas Rangers by just one game, with Houston owning the tiebreaker after winning the season series 9-4.

The Rays hold a four-game lead over the New York Yankees in the AL East. The teams will meet for four games in three days beginning Sept. 22 at Yankee Stadium, where New York will have a chance to take the division. The Yankees do not own the tiebreaker. For the first time, the Automated Ball-Strike Challenge System will be available in the postseason, with two challenges per team and additional challenges in extra innings.
