The story

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in theaters July 31, with box office estimates ranging from $260 million to $280 million domestically from 4,300 North American theaters. Some projections suggest an opening over $300 million is possible, though Sony estimates a more conservative $190 million to $195 million. Only nine films have crossed $200 million in a single weekend, with Avengers: Endgame holding the record at $357 million domestically. Spider-Man: No Way Home generated $1.9 billion without playing in China, while Brand New Day is landing day-and-date in China, where Spider-Man: Far From Home launched to $95 million in 2019.
