X Corp and SpaceXAI said Monday they have resolved their lawsuit against Apple in federal court in Texas. The lawsuit, filed last year, accused Apple of violating antitrust law by exclusively integrating ChatGPT into Apple Intelligence features on iPhones and other Apple devices, allegedly shutting out rivals in its partnership with OpenAI. The court filing did not explain the reasons for dismissal or say if a settlement had been reached. The dismissal is with prejudice, meaning the companies cannot bring the same claims against Apple again, and Apple did not oppose the motion.

The lawsuit also claimed Apple manipulated App Store rankings to favor ChatGPT. Last August, Musk claimed that Apple was behaving in a manner that made it impossible for any AI company besides OpenAI to reach number one in the App Store. Apple argued at the time that its partnership with OpenAI was not exclusive, and the company has since expanded its relationship with Google. Apple is no longer relying solely on OpenAI for outside AI models.

X Corp and SpaceXAI said they will continue to pursue claims against ChatGPT maker OpenAI, which remains a defendant in the lawsuit. Musk's companies, Apple, and OpenAI did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
