John Leguizamo will receive a Career Achievement Award from the Critics Choice Association after more than four decades on screen. The 66-year-old actor will lead the honorees at the sixth annual Celebración of Cinema and Television on October 2 at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. The event, previously called the Celebration of Latino Cinema and Television, recognizes Latino and Hispanic talent working on and off screen. Leguizamo is an Emmy winner, a Special Tony Award recipient and a four-time Tony nominee whose career has included roles in Carlito's Way, Moulin Rouge!, When They See Us and the Ice Age franchise.

The honor comes as Leguizamo's latest film, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, continues its record-breaking run at the global box office. The Homer adaptation, starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland and Anne Hathaway, has become the highest-grossing film of the director's career and the highest-grossing R-rated movie worldwide. Sources differ on the exact box office total, with one reporting it has crossed $1 billion globally within three weeks of release and another stating it has passed $1.35 billion globally.

Other honorees include Inde Navarrette, who will receive the Breakthrough Actress Award for Film for her performance in Focus Features' Obsession. Sources report the horror film has grossed between $488 million and $495.5 million worldwide. James Ortiz will collect the Innovator Award for his work as a Broadway puppeteer who performs, voices and operates the alien Rocky opposite Ryan Gosling in Amazon MGM Studios' Project Hail Mary. Judy Reyes will receive the Trailblazer Award for her work on ABC's High Potential and ABC/Hulu's Scrubs, and Oscar Nuñez will be presented with the Vanguard Award for Peacock comedy The Paper.
