Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and musician Madison Beer announced their engagement on Tuesday in a joint Instagram post captioned 'Meet my fiancé.' Herbert is 28 and Beer is 27. The announcement post received over 800,000 likes within an hour, according to ESPN.

The couple was first spotted together in August 2025 on the set of a music video Beer was shooting in Los Angeles. Dating rumors were seemingly confirmed when they shared a kiss on the sideline before the Chargers' Week 5 game against the Washington Commanders in October 2025. They attended a Los Angeles Dodgers World Series game together that autumn and sat courtside at a Los Angeles Lakers game.

Herbert missed Phase 2 of the team's voluntary offseason program to support Beer on tour. When asked about Herbert's absence, Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh said he offered 'Do you need a ride to the airport?' and said he was 'happy' the quarterback was supporting Beer on tour. Herbert is heading into his seventh season as the Chargers quarterback, according to Fox News, though Newsweek reported it as his sixth season.
